Austin focuses his practice on corrections and law enforcement defense, government liability defense, including defense of 42 U.S.C. Section 1983, Bivens claims, and state law tort claims. He works in conjunction with attorneys throughout the firm to counsel and defend law enforcement agencies, corrections departments, government agencies, and other public and private entities in Arizona and across the nation.

Austin earned his law degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. As a law student, Austin clerked with the City of Phoenix Law Department, Civil Division, where he supported multiple attorneys on a broad range of matters at various stages of litigation. His responsibilities included conducting legal research, drafting motions and other legal filings, and preparing clients for depositions. He received his undergraduate degree summa cum laude from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business.
