Anne focuses her practice on law enforcement, corrections, and government liability defense, including defense of 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and Bivens claims. She defends law enforcement agencies, corrections departments and contractors, government agencies, and medical professionals in Arizona and across the nation. Her practice also includes defense of class action and complex multi-party litigation, as well as First, Fifth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendment, Americans with Disabilities Act, failure to protect, excessive force, assault and battery, and wrongful death claims.

Anne also represents and provides general advice to employers in a wide range of employment matters, including ADA, Title VII, Title IX, FLSA, FMLA, Arizona Fair Wages & Healthy Family Act claims and wage and hour class actions. Anne also handles non-compete, confidentiality, and other employment agreements, responses to EEOC and state administrative law charges, and has conducted workplace investigations and audits.

Anne also has experience litigating and mediating a variety of other matters, including products liability, premises liability, professional liability, construction, real estate, contract, and commercial claims.

Prior to joining the firm, Anne clerked for Judge Michael J. Brown at the Arizona Court of Appeals. During law school, she externed for Judge Randolph J. Haines (Retired) at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Arizona and Judge James A. Teilborg at the U.S. District Court, District of Arizona and worked at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office in the Special Litigation Section.

In addition to practicing law, Anne has also done leadership consulting for Fortune 500, private equity, and start-up clients and management consulting for the U.S. Army, both in the U.S. and in Germany.
