Katie focuses her practice on corrections, law enforcement, and  government liability defense, including the defense of 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and Bivens claims, as well as state law tort claims.  She works with attorneys throughout the firm to counsel and defend law enforcement agencies, corrections departments, government agencies, and other public and private entities in Arizona and across the nation in cases involving complex litigation and class action lawsuits.

Katie clerked for Chief Judge Samuel A. Thumma and Judges James P. Beene and James B. Morse at the Arizona Court of Appeals. During law school, she externed for Judge Douglas L. Rayes at the U.S. District Court, District  of Arizona.
